Community Reacts To Southampton Village Board Candidate Using Slur In Call To Police

"should be grateful that the victim had the dignity to realized her stupidity"

" If you provoke people with hate words that demean them you deserve what comes with a hateful barrage of verbal .insults ."

Are you suggesting physical violence is an acceptable response to an insult? Can you be specific? Like, a slap in the face, a cracked skull, or something even worse?" May 26, 17 9:01 PM

Democrats Seek To Muster City Voters To Shift Their Polling Places East

Wait a moment, you mean withdrawing from that treaty will make renewable energy projects illegal? Please explain. What about the withdrawal will stop renewable energy development?" Jun 1, 17 8:23 PM

You brought up renewables. I'm asking what, specifically, about the withdrawal from this accord will hinder development of renewables.

Please refrain from ad hominem attacks, if you can." Jun 1, 17 8:38 PM

New York State Universal Health Care Bill Unlikely To Gain Support Needed Now, But Could In Future

in 2011 27East reported the Gabby Giffords shooting with the headline "Community Reeling from Arizona Shooting". Then went on with quotes repeating the democrat refrain at the time that "vitriolic rhetoric" and "Crosshairs on a map" motivated the young, mentally ill registered democrat to attempt to kill her.

I wonder, given the far larger scale of this shooting, if we will the story amplified here with an emotional headline as they did then. Something tells me the part of the community "reeling" from this is not much of a concern this time." Jun 14, 17 10:49 AM

Paul Manafort Looks To Spend Christmas In The Hamptons

Excuse me, what has he been convicted of? Oh right, nothing.

Too bad he wasn't the kind of accused you'd immediately feel sympathy for, like a Black Lives Matter cop killer.

"due primarily to the fact that Indian land can't be mortgaged."

Not true, hasn't been for some time. The link below is just one of numerous mortgage programs for tribal land.

Real Estate Transfer Tax Bill To Support Affordable Housing Passes State Legislature

I'm not here to compensate for your lack of analytical ability, or your unwillingness to do basic homework.

When a tax is uniformly applied to goods where demand exceeds supply, what do you think happens to the average selling price?

A) The home sellers eat a reduction in the sales price to compensate for the additional tax added to the transaction so the selling price stays the same as if there had been no tax.

or

B) The average selling price rises to accommodate the additional tax.

I see you shoehorned "Decent" into your straw man scenario. Crime increases with high-density, section 8 eligible housing. Tell me by what miracle of social engineering the increased presence of troubled, poverty stricken families with high numbers of children, a demographic group more frequently associated with crime, doesn't increase the crime rate in the surrounding community. Who wants to live next to housing projects that so often become trouble spots? Read the police blotters from points further west, and it's apparent a disproportionate amount of calls end up happening at low-income housing projects. Who would choose to live near something like that?

Increasing density increases the supply of housing. What happens to prices when supply is increased? I mean in the real world, not your socialist utopia." Jun 26, 19 10:56 AM
